Biography:
Laura Meier is a California estate planning attorney, entrepreneur, author, and speaker dedicated to helping families move beyond the uncertainty of life’s “what ifs” and create lasting legacies for the people they love most.
In 2010, Laura founded Meier Law Firm from her kitchen table while raising her young children, driven by a vision of creating a law firm that combined exceptional legal counsel with genuine care and compassion. She wanted families to feel as though they had a trusted attorney within their own circle—someone who could guide them through life’s most important decisions with wisdom, clarity, and personal attention. Today, thanks to the trust of thousands of families, Meier Law Firm is recognized as one of Orange County’s premier estate planning firms, with more than 450 five-star reviews and a team of eighteen professionals dedicated to helping clients protect their families, preserve their assets, and achieve peace of mind.
Laura is the author of The Family Nest Egg (Diversion Books and Penguin Random House, 2021), Good Parents Worry, Great Parents Plan (2014), and Guided by Grace: A Catholic Journey Through Wills, Trusts, and Estate Planning (2024), which received an imprimatur from Most Rev. Kevin W. Vann, Bishop of Orange. She is also the founder of Guided by Grace, a Catholic initiative dedicated to helping families integrate faith, stewardship, and legacy planning. Her work has been featured in national television, radio, and print media, and she is frequently invited to share insights on estate planning, family legacy, charitable giving, and financial stewardship.
Laura earned her Juris Doctor from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University and her Bachelor of Arts in English from California State University, Long Beach, where she was also a member of the Women’s Soccer Team.
Most importantly, Laura and her husband, Josh, are the proud parents of four children—Conrad, Jack, Kate, and Andrew. The Meier family resides in Newport Beach, California, and is committed to giving back to their community through philanthropy, faith, and service. Laura serves on the Board of Directors of JSerra Catholic High School. In 2026, she was honored with the Bishop’s Award for Exemplary Business Integrity, presented by Bishop Kevin W. Vann of the Diocese of Orange. Awarded to only two business leaders annually, the Bishop’s Award for Exemplary Business Integrity recognizes business leaders who demonstrate ethical practices, both personally and professionally.
